Mudflats of Jamaica Bay
As the heart of New York pulsates to the humdrum of city living, a quite storm of wildlife pervades its outerbanks. Each year, a treasure trove of avifauna migrate through Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge, Queens to and from their breeding grounds. In late summer, the mudflats of the East Pond are in prime condition to receive migrating shorebirds.
